I am really a hunter in student’s clothing. I love the feel of a shotgun. There’s nothing like knocking down a limit of seven ducks out of the sky on a cold morning. I also loved the Saturday afternoons I spent with my Dad at the Portland Gun Club shooting skeet. As a teenager we always began the fall by going out to the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area to a shotgun clinic for kids, sponsored by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. During the winter we hunted waterfowl with our friend Rian Strong on North Sauvie Island. Rian is one of the best callers in the world. We almost always got our limit
